Observability and Operational Insight Assessment

Give engineering leaders a clear view of system health, production failures and real user experience. Turn telemetry into actionable operational insight.

Turn telemetry into operational understanding

Collecting logs and metrics is not the same as knowing whether customers are receiving a reliable service. This assessment connects telemetry, incident workflows and user journeys so teams can detect meaningful problems earlier and diagnose them faster.

This assessment provides a path to create dashboards and alerts so your teams can proactively detect issues (performance, availability, errors) and take corrective action before they impact your customers.

Audience

Teams that discover problems through customers, struggle to diagnose incidents or cannot measure production performance.

What we will examine

The review follows operational signals of your application and infrastructure, such as:

  • Application and infrastructure metrics
  • Logs, traces and instrumentation
  • Dashboards and alerts
  • Incident investigation workflows
  • Service-level indicators and objectives
  • User journey and application performance
  • Telemetry coverage, retention and cost

We focus on meaningful signals and metrics to not bloat your telemetry data with irrelevant or noisy data.

What you will receive

  • Observability inventory and coverage map
  • Critical visibility gaps
  • Operational impact and risk analysis
  • Recommended metrics, logs and traces
  • Dashboard and alerting plan
  • Tooling and deployment recommendations
  • Estimated costs and implementation roadmap

How the engagement works

We begin with critical services, user journeys and recent operational pain. Existing telemetry, dashboards and incident evidence are then reviewed to determine what the team can detect, explain and measure today.

We then meet with key stakeholders to discuss current plans of action and practices used during incident responses. A tabletop exercise may be held to simulate incident response scenarios and gather feedback on the proposed plan.

The resulting plan prioritizes signals tied to customer and business impact, removes noisy or low-value practices and establishes a realistic path toward stronger operational insight. It will also provide a plan for what telemetry data should be collected, processed and visualized, and what alerts should be set up.

Investment

The fixed price for this assessment starts at $10500. The services, environments and observability tooling included in the review are agreed before kickoff.
